Confirm your professional pathway
Allied health covers different professions. Occupational therapy, medical laboratory and physiotherapy require different subject preparation. Begin with the qualification you are completing and the current requirements supplied by your institution and the Allied Health Professions Council. Selecting a course in Health Students does not register you for an examination.
Find the official requirements
Read the Council’s current examination policy and notices for the relevant sitting. The AHPC policy states that examination dates are advertised on its official website. Check the official notice before arranging travel, submitting documents or paying a fee; this guide does not publish a date or fee.
Build a topic checklist
Compare your approved learning objectives with the app’s topic names. Mark the areas you need to revise, and keep a separate list for any syllabus objective the app does not cover. Practice-question counts describe the library, not the weight of a topic in the real examination.
Review cases with reasons
For each practice item, explain why your answer fits the scenario and why the alternatives do not. Return to your lecture material when a term or principle is unfamiliar. Do not use a memorised answer as a substitute for clinical reasoning or supervised practical training.
Make mocks useful
Use a timed mock for pacing, then review uncertainty and mistakes. Turn the result into a short list of topics for the following week. App mock lengths and targets are practice settings, not official AHPC examination specifications.
