How to organise your midwifery licensure revision
Build a midwifery revision routine using your syllabus, scenario practice and clear explanations.

Use the right starting point
Confirm your programme’s examination requirements with your training institution and the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Build your revision checklist from your approved syllabus. Use the app’s notes and questions to practise that knowledge, rather than treating its contents as an official examination blueprint.
Connect topics across the care journey
Group your syllabus topics into a sequence that helps you remember them: pregnancy, labour, care after birth and related professional responsibilities. For each section, ask what information a scenario gives, what needs attention and why one response takes priority. Check clinical decisions against approved teaching resources.
Explain before memorising
After reading a section, give a short explanation in ordinary language while keeping important clinical terms accurate. Then check whether you have left out a warning sign, a sequence or an exception. If you cannot explain a term, return to the source rather than guessing from an answer option.
Practise a small set and review it
Answer a few questions on the topic you just studied. Review correct answers too: a correct guess still needs revision. Record the reason behind the answer and any point you need to clarify with a tutor. The questions are independent practice material, not official past papers.
Finish with timed revision
Use a mock session to practise reading and pacing. Afterwards, group mistakes by topic and return to the appropriate notes. Keep your next session focused on those gaps instead of repeating the same mock until its answers feel familiar.
