Organising revision for Ghana’s pharmacy qualifying examination

Use approved pharmacy materials, calculation practice and explanations to organise your GPPQE revision.

Separate registration from revision

The Pharmacy Council identifies the Ghana Pharmacy Professional Qualifying Examination as a requirement for pharmacist registration. Check its current official guidance for eligibility and application steps. Choosing the pharmacy course in this app does not establish eligibility or submit an application.

Use approved materials as your foundation

Create a checklist from your programme’s learning objectives and the Council’s current guidance. Use lecture notes and approved references for clinical detail, laws and professional requirements. The app offers independent revision material; it is not an official Council question bank.

Show your calculation steps

When practising calculations, write the units at each step and check whether the final unit answers the question. Keep an error log for unit conversion, arithmetic and interpretation separately. Verify methods against your approved course resources instead of copying an unexplained final number.

Study explanations carefully

After a practice question, explain the relevant principle without looking at the answer. If you answered correctly by eliminating options, check that you can still explain the underlying topic. Record questions whose wording or explanation needs clarification and discuss them with your tutor.

Practise beyond multiple choice

Use your institution’s preparation guidance for all assessed components. Multiple-choice practice in an app should support, rather than replace, the other forms of preparation your programme requires. Check the Council website for current examination details instead of assuming an app mock reproduces the official format.
